Plan to Finish is the University of Utah's plan for retaining and graduating more students includes a series of strategic shifts to support student success, engage students in learning communities, community based learning, and applied learning in capstone experiences. This academic success tool can help students imagine the bigger picture and what they can accomplish during their time here at the U and beyond.

The principal Plan to Finish message is: take cour years to finish, and our role is to provide resources and attractive alternatives that make it possible for students to take 30 credit hours each academic calendar year.

New U Student Experience

The New U Student Experience consists of four stages and allows for an enhanced, engaged, inspiring, transformative path through an undergraduate education. This four-stage process will be the principal advising tool for Student Success Advocates, Orientation Leaders, Peer Mentors.

From selecting a major, to charting your course to graduation, you won't be alone. There are talented and knowledgable people ready to lend a hand. And as things change during your time at the U we'll be there to help you adjust your Academic Plan.

Academic Advising and Mentoring is not a one time occurrence. At the U we are there with you every step of the way. We know things change. A plan that is put in place when you enter the U will certainly change. Your Academic Advisor and Mentor will be there with you every step of the way to ensure your success.
